Received as promised, set it up and it leaked from the bottom. I found the pin-hole sized leak and applied epoxy sealant. Had it up for a few days now and it seems to work without leaking.

I was bewildered reading that anyone has had a negative experience with this feeder, because mine have all been A+. It's a snap to clean since you can get your whole hand in it, and I mix my solution right in the cylinder, so no need to dirty a pitcher or funnel. Mine have never leaked, can't help but wonder if leaking had to do with the skills of the person putting it together?
As far as someone's suggestion that it be made of glass, therefore more durable, well, have you ever dropped a glass feeder on your concrete steps? I have! Plus, I don't think you could get the cylinder to lock into the feeder housing if it were made of glass, the same way that this plastic cylinder does, which is so well engineered (in my opinion).
It is a little difficult to pop in the flower ports, wonder if they could be made to lock on like the cylinder? The bee guards work well for me.
I love these feeders, own NINE of them, and have given all my others away!

The Perky Pet 220 is great because of it's capacity but like all other high volume feeders that I have it needs to be burped manually at times. It does have one problem though, sometimes it is a challenge putting it back together after refilling.

I've used this large feeder for a few years without any problems whatsoever; no leaking, no durability issues, no vices--except that I wish it was even bigger! On warm summer days I could almost fill it twice!
The little birds love this thing! They invite all their friends over--so many birds show up at once that I have to have a second, smaller feeder nearby for the overflow!
If I have any criticism at all it would be that the base is awkward to clean, but a thin kitchen sponge and a good soak in warm water and vinegar seems to clean it well.
Fwiw, my feeders are in the shade at least 80% of the day, which I believe helps extend the lifespan of the plastic parts.
Perky-Pet does sell replacement parts directly, and although I've not needed any for this feeder, I have purchased parts from them for other models of their feeders after accidental breakage or worn parts.

We have many humming birds each year. This feeder has a large capacity and is so easy to clean. You can actually reach your hand inside the feeder to wash it. Yippee!!!!!
