Feeder lasted two seasons. It is all plastic except the hanger and the perches which are metal covered with rubber caps that eventually fall off. The feeding stations have a green back that squirrels will destroy. When they fall out, the feeder won't hold seed--it goes everywhere. Also, small birds can get inside and be trapped when the green backs fall out. There is no control for which of the 3 levels get seed; it goes to the top first, then when full to the bottom, and then the middle. By blocking the top tube, you can put seed only in the top, but the middle section cannot be filled until the lowest section is full of seed. If you want even distribution it has to be filled completely. Feeder is difficult to clean. A kitchen sink is typically not large enough, but a tall 5 gallon paint bucket works. The only good thing noted is that it attracts lots of birds during its first season of use, so if you don't have problems with squirrels or chipmunks and don't mind replacing annually, otherwise there are better designed and sturdier feeders available.

This bird feeder is the only one I have found that allows seed to remain in every feeding level because of the separated sections and tunnel design for the seed fill. This design allows 12 feeding stations to remain in use. The small tray also gives Cardinals the footing they enjoy when feeding. This would rate five stars except for the ports being plastic instead of metal, so if squirrels can get to the feeder, they are able to destroy the ports. That won't stop me from buying this feeder as the separate levels allow so many birds to feed, but metal ports would make it perfect.
